LASH EXTENSIONS + LIFTS

A & A STUDIOS professional lash extension services are offered using premium quality lashes and glue. Ashley is certified through Borboleta Beauty + Lashbox LA.

Lash extensions enhance the length, thickness and fullness of natural eyelashes. We offer Classic Lash Extensions, which are typically more natural, depending on length + amount of natural lashes. Classic Lash Extensions are a glamorous way to extend the length and thickness of natural eyelashes & give that “just wearing mascara, but better” look. Volume lashes is just that - voluminous! Volume lashes are much fuller, creating a dramatic look. If you are looking for a middle ground, Hybrid lashes are also offered, which is a mix of classic and volume lashes. Hybrid offers the best of both worlds, gives that extra fullness, without being too over the top.

Lash extensions are worn daily, without nightly removal.

We apply the synthetic lashes individually to your individual real lashes. Lash extensions are never glued to your skin. False eyelashes and eyelash extensions are not the same. Eyelash extensions must be applied one by one, to avoid having them stick together.

What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a cosmetic procedure that curls and lifts your natural eyelashes from the base, enhancing their appearance and giving them a longer, fuller look without the need for extensions. It’s like a perm for your lashes, using a chemical solution to set them in a new shape that highlights their natural length and curl.

Here’s how a lash lift typically works:

  1. Cleaning: Your lashes are thoroughly cleaned to remove any oils or makeup.

  2. Silicone Pads: A silicone pad is placed on your eyelid. Your lashes are then combed and molded over this pad. The size of the pad can vary depending on the desired level of curl – smaller pads create a tighter curl, while larger ones give a more natural lift.

  3. Perming Solution: A perming solution is applied to the lashes, which softens them so they can be molded to the shape of the pad. This solution is left on for a specific amount of time depending on the thickness and health of the lashes.

  4. Setting Solution: After the perming solution, a setting solution is applied to reform the bonds in the lashes and lock them into their new shape.

  5. Nourishing Oil: Finally, a nourishing oil or conditioning treatment is often applied to replenish moisture and keep the lashes healthy.

The whole process usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour and the results can last 6-8 weeks, gradually diminishing as the lashes naturally fall out and are replaced by new growth.

Lash lifts are a popular choice for those who want a low-maintenance beauty routine but still desire a more open-eyed, refreshed look without daily makeup. It’s a great alternative to lash extensions for individuals looking for a more natural enhancement.

What is a brow lamination?

Brow lamination is a popular beauty treatment that offers a fuller, more defined look for the eyebrows. It's a bit like a perm for your brows, using a chemical solution to straighten and lift the eyebrow hairs, making them more flexible and easier to shape. The process involves three main steps:

  1. Lifting Solution Application: A cream is applied that breaks down the bonds in the eyebrow hairs, allowing them to be moved into a new shape.

  2. Brow Shaping: Once the hairs are flexible, they are brushed up and set into a vertical position. This not only gives a fuller appearance but also helps to fill in any gaps or unevenness.

  3. Setting the Brows: Finally, a neutralizing solution is applied to reform the bonds in the hairs, locking them into their new position.

The result is sleek, smooth brows that look naturally full and perfectly styled. The effect typically lasts around 4-6 weeks, depending on hair growth and care. Brow lamination is great for anyone wanting to make their eyebrows appear thicker and more youthful, or for those who struggle with unruly or sparse brows. It’s a fantastic option for a polished look with minimal daily effort

*Please come to your appointment with clean eyelashes, including around the eye. Do not wear any makeup(concealer, foundation, powder, eyeliner, mascara) around eye and do not put on any eye cream.

Lashlift & Brow Lamination Aftercare

Proper aftercare following a lash lift is crucial for maintaining the longevity and appearance of your lashes. Here are some key tips to help you take care of your lashes after the treatment:

  1. Keep Them Dry: Avoid getting your lashes wet for at least the first 24 hours after the treatment. This means no showers, swimming, or heavy workouts that might cause you to sweat heavily around the eye area.

  2. Avoid Heat and Steam: For the first 24-48 hours, steer clear of high heat and steam, such as saunas, steam rooms, and even cooking over steaming pots. Heat can deactivate the lifting solution, causing lashes to lose their new shape.

  3. Be Gentle: Do not rub or pull on your eyelashes. This can cause them to lose their lift or even fall out. When cleansing your face, be gentle around the eye area.

  4. Skip the Mascara: Avoid applying mascara for at least 24 hours after the treatment. After that, you can use mascara, but often people find they don't need it as much because of how lifted and open their lashes already appear.

  5. Avoid Oil-Based Products: Oil can cause the lift to drop more quickly, so try to use oil-free facial products, especially around your eyes. This includes makeup removers and moisturizers.

  6. Comb Them Gently: If your lashes start to cross over or look a bit uneven as they grow, you can gently comb them with a clean spoolie brush to keep them neat.

  7. Conditioning Treatments: Some technicians recommend using a lash serum or conditioner to keep lashes healthy, especially if they feel dry. These products can also support lash growth and strength.

  8. Sleep Carefully: Try to sleep on your back if possible in the first few nights to avoid pressing your lashes into your pillow, which can distort their shape.

Following these aftercare tips can help ensure that you get the most out of your lash lift, keeping your lashes looking beautiful and healthy for as long as possible!

Taking good care of your brows following a brow lamination is key to maintaining that freshly styled look and ensuring the longevity of the results. Here are some important aftercare tips for brow lamination:

  1. Keep Them Dry: For the first 24-48 hours after your treatment, avoid getting your brows wet. This means no washing your face with water, sweating heavily, or exposing them to steam from showers or saunas. The aim is to keep the newly restructured brow hairs undisturbed as they set into their new shape.

  2. Avoid Makeup and Creams: During the first 24 hours, steer clear of applying makeup, creams, or serums directly on or around your brows. These products can interfere with the chemicals used in the lamination process and affect how your brows set.

  3. Do Not Touch or Rub: Avoid touching or rubbing your brows excessively. The skin around the area can be a bit sensitive after the treatment, and the hairs are in a delicate state while they set.

  4. Sleep Carefully: Try to sleep on your back if possible to avoid pressing your brows into your pillow, which could potentially alter their new shape.

  5. Brush Them Gently: After the initial 24-48 hour setting period, you can gently brush your brows into place each morning with a clean spoolie brush. This helps maintain their neat, aligned look.

  6. Nourish Your Brows: Some aestheticians recommend using a nourishing oil or serum to keep the brow hairs healthy and hydrated. Ingredients like castor oil, peptides, or vitamins can be beneficial for brow hair strength and vitality.

  7. Regular Maintenance: Although brow lamination can last anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, proper maintenance can help extend the life of your laminated brows. Regularly applying nourishing products and keeping them groomed can make a difference.

By following these aftercare tips, you can enjoy your beautifully laminated brows for as long as possible while keeping your brow hairs healthy and well-maintained.
